Ken Yelland, DMD
Dr. Yelland, a General Dentist, completed his undergraduate education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and received his D.M.D from the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then completed a Residency in General Dentistry at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
Dr. Yelland, for many years was a Clinical Instructor in Restorative Dentistry at Harvard and now devotes all of his time at the Needham office. Dr. Yelland resides in Wellesley with his wife, Janice and their two West Highland Terriers.
Richard Strakus, DMD
Dr. Strakus, a general dentist, completed his undergraduate education at the University of Massachusetts – Boston, majoring in biology. He received his D.M.D. Summa Cum Laude from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and, after graduation, completed a two year General Practice Residency at the Brockton VA Hospital and Harvard Dental School.
Dr. Strakus lives in Newton with his wife, Ileana, and their two children Alexandra and Christopher. He is very active in his church and enjoys outdoor activities.
Martin Spielman, DMD
Dr. Spielmann completed his undergraduate education at the College of the Holy Cross and received his D.M.D. Degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. While in dental school, Dr. Spielmann was the recipient of the ADA/Dentsply Student Clinician Award. His General Practice Residency was completed at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. Dr. Spielmann is pursuing a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and has special interests in preventive dentistry, implants and athletic mouthguards.
Dr. Spielmann and his wife Suzanne live in Needham with their four children, Claire, Joe, Peter and Anna. Martin is an avid tennis player and enjoys coaching his children’s soccer teams.
Debra Blattman, DMD
Dr. Blattman earned her DMD degree Magna Cum Laude from Tufts University after receiving her BS degree from UCSD. She was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society and is a member of the MDS Standing Committee for New Dentists. She has worked as a general dentist for offices in Norton and Marlborough. She presently works in the Franklin office. Her enthusiasm, talent, and experience bring a fresh appeal to our practice.
Nora Zaki, DMD
Dr. Zaki received her D.M.D. Summa Cum Laude from Tufts School of Dental Medicine and graduated with a BS in Biology Summa Cum Laude from Northeastern University. She also has a Certificate in Dental Hygiene.
Dr. Zaki has traveled extensively to Cairo, Egypt and San Pedro Sula Hondouras with a medical/dental humanitarian group offering free dental services.
She has traveled to Egypt to conduct a public health research study regarding tobacco use. This research was presented as a poster at the AADR (American Association of Dental Research) annual meeting and in the Tufts Bates-Andrews Day Research Competition
Dr. Zaki is a Member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the American Dental Hygienists Association, the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, the Golden Key National Honor Society, and the National Honor Society of Collegiate Scholars.
In her spare time, Dr. Zaki enjoys fishing and traveling.
